Charles Mankamyer has been associated with United American since 1979 – first as a General Agent and, for the last four years, as a Senior Vice President in the Home Office. He recently received a Christmas card from United American Agent Mark Heller and his family with the following handwritten note: “Merry Christmas, Chuck. Thank you sincerely for every good thing you have helped me with in my career with our beloved United American. My only regret is that I wish you had started at the Home Office twenty-something years ago! May the good Lord keep you well, strong, and full of joy.” After reading Mark’s note, Charles said he felt all those things.
United American Shows Gratitude to Policyholders
It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle of everyday life and forget how important a simple expression of gratitude is. Be sure your United American policyholders know how important they are to you. Send them a short, handwritten note at least once a year. It need not be more than a few sentences, and it doesn’t need to relate to insurance.
United American Keeps in Touch
If you read about a policyholder’s son or grandson scoring a winning touchdown at a football game or a policyholder’s daughter or granddaughter starring in a dance recital, drop a congratulatory note to the parents. Birthdays, anniversaries, new babies, new jobs, and graduations are all positive events that warrant a note of congratulations. Or just drop a note that says how much you appreciate them and their business with United American. The point is to stay in touch to keep your connection strong.
